Fishing with Patagonia On The Fly gives guests the opportunity to plan their trip depending on the type of fishing they like most and their fishing experience. We craft each itinerary to your needs. The variety of water is so extensive; rivers like the Chimehuin, Aluminé, Collón Curá, Malleo, Filo Hua Hum and Limay offer some of the finest fishing in all of Patagonia, with great hatches of mayflies, caddis, stoneflies and incredible minnow runs, willow worms, terrestrials and pancora crabs. Guests can choose to spend their days fishing from drift boats or wading the productive waters. Staying the at the lodges and estancias provides access to the best waters at the best time of the day, all within a short drive, giving guests the opportunity to get back to the lodge if necessary. Non-fishermen can enjoy the beauty these estancias have to offer by combining days with hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, and more!

The point is, we are happy to design an itinerary to meet your trips needs. If you want to float more than wade, take a day off to see the sights, explore multiple rivers, factor in the travel and take a rest day, etc. no problem! Let’s work together to craft the perfect adventure.
5 nights / 4.5 days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Short float or wade on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 2: Fish all day on the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Drive (40 minutes) to fish on the Aluminé River all day. Return to stay at lodge.
Day 4: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 5: Drive (40 minutes) to fish on the Collón Curá River. Return to stay at lodge.
Day 6: Departure from Chapelco Airport.
A nomadic stay…
8 nights/7 full days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Free afternoon to settle in at our lodge, Puente Negro, Casa de Campo.
Day 2: Fish all day on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 4: Drive (40mins) to float the Collón Curá River all day. Stay at Collón Curá Lodge.
Day 5: Fish all day on a different section of the Collón Curá, stay at Collón Curá Lodge.
Day 6: Drive (1 hour) to the Limay River. Fish all day, then stay at the Limay River Ranch.
Day 7: Fish all day on a different section of the Limay until 5pm, then drive (2 hours) back to Puente Negro.
Day 8: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin River.
Day 9: Departure from Chapelco Airport
6 nights / 4 full days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Free afternoon to settle in at our lodge, Puente Negro, Casa de Campo.
Day 2: Fish all day on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 4: Drive (40 minutes) to fish all day on the Collón Curá River. Return to stay at Puente Negro.
Day 5: Take the day off from fishing. Enjoy a guided hike and tour through town. Stay at Puente Negro.
Day 6: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin River.
Day 7: Departure from Chapelco Airport.
A wader’s delight…
9 nights/7 full days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Free afternoon to settle in at our lodge, Puente Negro, Casa de Campo.
Day 2: Fish all day on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Drive (40mins) to float the Collón Curá River, return to lodge.
Day 4: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 5: Drive (40 mins) to either Mamuil Malal or San Huberto Lodge to wade fish the Malleo River. Stay at either Mamuil Malal or San Huberto.
Day 6: Wade fish all day on the Malleo River. Stay at Mamuil/San Huberto.
Day 7: Fish all day on the Aluminé River, then return to Puente Negro.
Day 8: Take the day off from fishing to relax at the lodge or explore the town of San Martín.
Day 9: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin. Stay at lodge.
Day 10: Departure from Chapelco Airport.
7 nights / 6 full days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Free afternoon to settle in at our lodge, Puente Negro, Casa de Campo.
Day 2: Fish all day on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 4: Drive (2 hours) to fish the Limay River. Stay at our partner lodge, Limay River Ranch.
Day 5: Fish all day on a different section of the Limay. Stay at Limay River Ranch.
Day 6: Fish on the Limay until 5pm, then drive (2 hours) back to Puene Negro.
Day 7: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 8: Departure from Chapelco Airport.

13 nights/11 full days fishing
Day 1: Arrive to San Martín de Los Andes, Chapelco Airport. Free afternoon to settle in at our lodge, Puente Negro, Casa de Campo.
Day 2: Fish all day on our home river, the Chimehuin.
Day 3: Drive (40mins) to float the Collón Curá River, return to lodge.
Day 4: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin.
Day 5: Drive (1.5 hours) to Estancia Tres Lagos. Fish the Filo Hua Hum Lake. Stay at Tres Lagos.
Day 6: Wade fish all day on the Filo Hua Hum River. Stay at Tres Lagos.
Day 7: Wade fish on the Filo Hua Hum River until 5pm, then drive (1.5 hours) to Puente Negro.
Day 8: Take the day off from fishing to relax at the lodge or explore the town of San Martín.
Day 9: Fish all day on a different section of the Chimehuin. Stay at lodge.
Day 10: Drive (2 hours) to fish all day on the Limay River. Stay at Limay River Ranch.
Day 11: Fish all day on the Limay River. Stay at Limay River Ranch.
Day 12: Fish on the Limay River until 5pm, then drive (2 hours) to Puente Negro.
